If you're planning a visit to La Fortuna de San Carlos and the Arenal Volcano, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the variety of places and activities we have to offer. CAÑO NEGRO
The Natural tour Caño Negro is considered the best place on the continent for bird watching, is also home to many other animals, such as sloths, three types of monkeys, alligators, lizards, bats, and a variety of flora typical of wetlands. The trip leaves from La Fortuna and travels approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to Los Chiles, a rustic village just three kilometers from the border with Nicaragua.

The first hour will take you through open spaces until the Fortuna River , after which we reach the main road leading to the waterfall, where we have to travel along this street for about 15 minutes to arrive the La Fortuna waterfall. On our return we will wade across the river again and this time visiting the Maleku people, they are native to northern Costa Rica, where they will share their culture, language and traditions.

After receiving instructions from the guide, the pedal board will be addressed. It is incredibly stable and safe. It only takes the strength of your legs to navigate. The guide will instruct and facilitate a short lap as a practice and you will be ready to enjoy the calm waters of Lake Arenal.
We will head to a point strategically located along the shore of the lake to enjoy the panoramic view of the majestic Arenal Volcano. Once there, in addition to the natural history of the region, the guide will share some of the history of the lake, while relaxing and sharing a tropical fruit snack. And why not, take a dip in the lake.
After a well-deserved rest, we will return to the starting point and enjoy our navigation on Lake Arenal again.

This activity begins and ends at the entrance to the Volcano National Park. We will climb our bikes to cross the unpaved road along the southern shore of Lake Arenal, famous for its abundant wildlife and stunning scenery. After crossing Caño Negro River, we will continue our Bike Adventure on an abandoned road around Lake Arenal where some streams, family farms and protected forests cross. On the way, back we will stop in the village of El Castillo to have a delicious lunch “Typical Costa Rican Married.”

RIO CELESTE
The tour departs at 07 a.m from La Fortuna. After a typical breakfast in route to Rio Celeste, we arrive at Tenorio Volcano National Park, where we start our walk 5 miles (approximately 4 hours) through the tropical rainforest. Get “Los Teñideros” Rio Celeste, the site where two streams of crystalline water come together and the color of the sky that gives its name to the river We will continue our trek through the woods, furnace vents that expel gases from the volcano at high temperature extremes will be found.
At the end of the descent you will reach the waterfall a clear view of sky blue. Our final reward is an exquisite lunch at the end of our trip.

CULTURAL TOUR
The tour begins at 8:00 am when we left the city of La Fortuna to La Casona we will visit the Trapiche, then take a “tractor” trip to the village Sonafluca, here in rural local supermarket participants can buy snacks, if they want , and interact with the owner and local customers.
In Sonafluca Elementary School, children will we present a selection of local folk dances and information about the education system in Costa Rica. We can have a very good interaction with children. Finally, around noon we will drive back to La Casona Rio Fortuna, where you will be informed about some aspects of their 100-year history, the environment and its inhabitants.

SKY RIVER DRIFT
Costa Rica Sky Adventures making a difference as always has taken the traditional tubing tour to another level of fun and excitement.The tour is a journey into the rainforest of Arenal, which includes three canopy cables, a controlled 147 ft high fall and a path along the river for more than 3 miles in personal tubing.
The tour takes 2 hours and 45 minutes approximately, the cables ride is around 1 km and the path between them is 300 meters long, at the end of the cable segment, you get to a platform in a tree where the controlled high fall descends to the river, once in the water, each one takes their tubing and is carried away by the river current.
